During a time when all I can think about is graduation and getting a job that pays a lot of money; and believing the lie that money is my savior and will grant me security.. God shows me this verse through my friend, reminding me of His provision and His faithfulness.

Come Home Running
Oh heart of mine, why must you stray? From One so fair, you run away. And one more time you have to pay the heaviness of needless shame.
Oh heart of mine, come back home. You’ve been too long out on your own. and He’s been there all along watching for you down the road.
So come home running, His arms are open wide His name is Jesus, He understands He is the answer you are looking...

Letter to an Incomplete, Insecure Teenager
A letter written by Pastor John Piper to a teenager at his church. Although most of us are out of our teenage years, the truth behind this letter is ageless. Please read if you have the time.
Four years ago a teenager in our church wrote to me for advice about life in general, and identity in particular. Here is what I wrote, with a big dose of autobiography for illustration.

Knowing His Will vs. Knowing Him
As I see this quarter quickly coming to an end I can’t help but think of how if I had transferred on time I would be a part of this year’s graduating class. Knowing that, I get freaked out because if I was indeed graduating on time I would have no idea what I to do next with my life and can’t avoid asking the question, “God, what is your will for my life? What is it...

My Problem with Being Second
Just wanted to share a post that I read earlier today that convicted me of how I abandon the gospel so easily with such minor things. If you have the time, take a few minutes to read the article and hopefully it’ll help remind you of the gospel the next time you’re placed in situations such as these, whether that be while running, driving, waiting in line, etc.

Happy Birthday Abe!
In honor of my brother, Abraham, turning 20 I thought I’d write a little something something.
It feels really weird to see my younger brothers growing up with my middle brother turning 20 and my youngest one turning 18 after summer and going to college. Whenever I’m with them I feel as if we were still kids playing around like we did when we were younger. But as weird as it is, I get...

Amazing Grace
Despite my failures, my forgetfulness, and my unfaithfulness I woke up alive and well today because of His grace.
Lent
Today marks the first of the 40-day Lent season. In light of that, I just wanted to encourage us to take this season to remind and prepare ourselves for Easter through fasting, prayer, repentance, and the reading and meditating of God’s Word. Although Lent isn’t a requirement for Christians, it’s a great time to remind ourselves of the gospel and the days leading up to the death...

Okay!
I worked with two sister maid of honors, Linda Park and Jenny Kim, who wanted to make a video for their sister, Esther! This video was shot, edited, and finished about 3-4 weeks ago, but we had to keep it a secret because it was a surprise.
I had tons of fun working on this project and I’m so excited to make more.
Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Carrier and I hope you enjoy!

Last Supper
A photo series by James Reynolds displaying former Death Row prisoners’ last meal requests before their execution.
Seeing this photo set, I’m reminded of Jesus’ last meal before He was executed by death on the cross. I’m reminded of how His body and blood was poured out for us. How Jesus could have easily and fairly turned around and handed us the cup of...

True Repentance
Ray Ortlund, commenting on the Westminster Shorter Catechism, says the following regarding true repentance:
Two observations:
One, the motive for repentance is not only sorrow for sin but also a sense of the mercy of God in Christ. We have zero motivation to repent unless we see the mercy of God awaiting us. Not the slap of God but the embrace of God. Repentance is not just turning...
